Ultragauge Blue will continue to accurately calculate fuel usage even when the mobile device is not present.
With real-time fuel usage, UltraGauge can quickly answer those age-old fuel efficiency questions specifically for your vehicle:
- Is it better to drive with the windows down or use the air-conditioner?
- Tailgate up or Down?
- Do truck tailgate & bed accessories help fuel economy?
- Is fuel usage significantly affected by tire inflation?
- Which gear is best when climbing grades?
- Which speed delivers optimal fuel economy?
- Does engine braking use more fuel?
- Does fuel usage change based on altitude?
- Although dangerous, does drafting really help?
- and many more....
With UltraGauge it’s instant and easy!
Ultraguage offers the ability to optimize fuel usage accuracy with an optional fuel calibration feature.
Unlike MPG gauges found in high-end vehicles, UltraGauge is not limited to displaying a maximum of 99 MPG, UltraGauge displays up to 999 MPG.
UltraGauge Blue can display roughly 155 standardized OBDII parameters(gauges). However most vehicles support only 30-70 gauges, depending on the vehicle*. UltraGauge Blue can display all the parameters that are supported by your vehicle. Gauge selection is completely customizable

Hidden Manufacturer Gauges
In addition to the standardized OBDII parameters, UltraGauge Blue also has the ability to access hidden manufacturer parameters. Please see the "Manufacturer Gauges" Information button on the main page
* Actual available gauges are vehicle dependent.
** Short trip gauges reset at each ignition off.
*** Typically O2 Sensor 1 is before the Catalytic converter and O2 Sensor 2 is behind the 02 Sensor. There are two types of O2 sensors, the older, more basic "narrow band" O2 sensor and the "wide band" O2 sensors. Some manufactures will use the more capable wide band sensor prior to the Catalytic converter and the lower cost, more basic O2 sensor after the Cat. OBDII defines a wide band O2 sensor that outputs voltage and another that outputs current. The sensors are the same and the difference is only the internal units. A given vehicle will typically only support either the voltage or current wide band O2 sensors. Regardless of if the output is a voltage or a current, the parameter Lambda is unit-less and hence it is not important if the wide band O2 sensor output is voltage or current.
Lambda is a more useful parameter than AFR, as the Stoichiometric ratio of the fuel is seldom known and hence AFR can not be determined
While not comprehensive, the Gauge Availability Estimator can potentially provide an estimate of the gauges available for your vehicle. The estimator can be found here: Gauge Availability Estimator
