This cable can also be used as a simple extension.
Cable length connector end to connector end: 14.25" or 36cm
Pin 16 is internally fused at the male end.
While this cable can be used on any vehicle which uses the CAN interface, it is primarily for those vehicles which have non-standard implementations of the OBDII, such that vehicle manufacturers have inappropriately used connector pin signals for proprietary uses.

All vehicles vehicles manufactured for the USA on or after 2008 are federally required to support CAN. However, many vehicles adopted CAN prior to 2008
For those vehicles that experience odd vehicle impairment even after Forcing the protocol, this cable may correct the issues. However, there is a very insignificant chance that the problem is in the vehicle's ECM firmware, in which case this cable will not remedy the impairment.
